South East Water Sewage Contamination

During the flooding in the UK it was reported on BBC1 that the South East water supply had been contaminated with sewage when a pumping station became flooded. we were told by the BBC to only drink tap water if it was boiled first, to be on the safe side.
That was a week ago. I have heard nothing from South East Water Limited (who’s ironic google snippet says; “South East Water supplies quality drinking water in the south east of England every day.”. No press release, no advice, nothing. We have no idea if the water is safe to drink or not.
South East water, already on very thin ice (pun intended) after last summer’s water shortages in the South East are looking to be in for more flak from the public after this.
Looking on the South East water website, there is no mention of this at all. Even if the BBC had got it wrong, you would assume that the water company would have put a statement on there website at the very least to dispel the fear of drinking sewage contaminated water! This is what they DO have for the month of July 2007.
Honestly, I am disgusted with the way this company treats its customers.
